Thank you Body

‘Thank you legs and feet and toes’ I found myself saying as I dried my body lovingly after a shower. Those legs and feet took me to a beautiful place yesterday and they worked hard to climb a hill. I enjoyed the feeling of acknowledging that.

And that feeling of thanks expanded into a thanks to this whole body that keeps on working for me. It carries me around and allows me to go to these beautiful places, the arms and hands and brain coordinate to make myself tasty food, to drive, to read, make my bed, play with the dog. It’s amazing!

I forget often, and that’s natural to get just used to it and take it for granted. I’m not using thanks to guilt trip myself here. It’s just so pleasant to remember how much is going right when I do remember.

Here’s the place it took me yesterday.
